Assessment in the Classroom Revisited

The most interesting pieces I found in this section were in the exploration activity.  Dr. William's video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXpBZmeXrDo&feature=youtu.be) provided some good points to ponder.

  • Collect only the data needed to the desired outcome.
  • Hyper correction affect
  • Some summative assessments are necessary.

  • Making learning a collaborative venture with the student and the teacher and removing the "us versus them" mindset

Frustrations/Questions
  • Is this the goal of the Blog?  Being a first time blogger and being old I am feeling uncertain as to how to make this different then other assignments.
  • There were several broken links in various parts we looked at.  I copy the link along with hyperlinking it in most things that I distribute to my students to help with misfires.  Also being old I will freely name new concepts, please identify if there is a name for these ideas or if I am using a word incorrectly.
